Spouse insists on talking to ex

Husband keeps contacting his ex and she suggests that he should not be doing so, but he continues. Why is that? They have no children, but had dogs while together and they have passed away. He was sad and upset when he learned they passed a year ago and was not informed by her. We have been married 3 years..guess I am stumped at how he just cant leave it alone.

Why do you let him keep in touch
Even she thinks he doing to much.
Sounds to me like he's a little obsessed,
You've been married for years he should be over that mess,
This is a big deal and you need to let him know,
Its either you or her cause it time to let go.
I don't really know how he feels.
But he will choose you if the love is real.
People can be friends after being involved,
But this situation needs to quickly be solved.
I hope you decide to stand up for yourself.
But he needs to love you and nobody else
